going, going... by bcurrie

going, going...

gone.
i was SO disappointed with the way my photos came out of the lunar eclipse tonight. i took nearly 200, and these are the 'best' (and i use that term loosely). however, as i was grinching about not getting a good photo (especially of the 'blood moon') my oh-so-wise 11year old said, "well, at least you got to SEE it". and i was put in my place. because regardless of how the pictures turned out, it was awesome to witness--i'm amazed by God's creation!
This is still a great series! I was a bit frustrated with what I got as well, but oh, so happy we got to see most of it!

Very cool progression. Glad you got to see the whole thing. I only saw the last part.

Very cool set of shots. I like that you put them all together.

And your son is already very wise.

This is fantastic!!! With all the rain we've been having the last few days I didn't even see the moon. I'm pretty bummed to have missed such an awesome occurrence. Thanks for sharing this so I could actually see it! =)

Wonderful progression, Brett! Sometimes actually seeing the thing, matters more than photographing it. I need to be reminded of that, too :-)
