This little native bee was very busy collecting pollen from my spider lily (Hymenocallis caribaea). There used to be a hive in a hollow in our Tamarind tree. The hive is long gone so I was glad to see they are still hanging out in my garden. They are tiny little things about half the size of a normal bee and they are stingless which makes them even more attractive.
@bobfoto That's right, I remember you telling me that now! They are all over the wild passionfruit, good thing I'm pulling it all out (or trying to). By the way that's not a Canadian 'eh' is it?
@photoheart Thank you Veronique! They are very tiny and collect a huge amount of pollen before setting off. They seem to really like the spider lilies.

@dinelson Thanks Diana :)
Good luck with killing off your wild passionfruit!
@girlie The magnifier does help, he's so tiny
Thanks for the nice comments! He really was loaded up with pollen. He's probably not as sharp as I would have liked but they move so quickly.
