We were walking on The Strand today and this little fellow was right in front of us in a tree. He didn't mind me snapping away at all. I could have touched him I was so close. Their colours are so pretty.
Thanks so much for taking the time to look or comment on my photos.
Great shot they certainly are gorgeous birds and you must have found the only bit of blue sky that was around today for the background but lucky you did because it certainly highlights his colours beautifully. What sort of flower is he eating? Looks like a lily of some sort.
@ronah I love it Rona. It's my take-everywhere camera. It's always in my bag. I couldn't live without my 'bigger' one but I wouldn't want to be without my little Lumy either ;-)
@rach_who I was so busy looking at the parrot that I sort of overlooked the plant but I think it was the flower of a yukka of some kind (just at the side of the Coffee Club). The sun has been really trying to come out today but it's still pretty bleak.
well how gorgeous is this! I never fail to appreciate their beauty and this is a perfect capture. they are cheeky and colourful and they are always eating. Great shot.
I'm also very happy with my Lumy :) I purchased it with the idea that even when I get a DSLR, it will always be the camera that's with me everywhere I go.
Nicely captured. I find they are less nervous than other cockatoos and parrots and will often stay close by in a tree while eating. Makes for some great shots like this one.
