Give me cold hard cash! This little guy took the trip out from Townsville today to help install stone benches in a kitchen for us. He was so cute and spent most of the time doing quality control from his mate's shoulder.

They always make me laugh Sheralee - they are a magnificent looking bird, but they always look so cross! I'm sure he would have made a perfect supervisor for the job.
It would be a little hard to slacken off during the day when you have your manager sitting on your shoulder. These guys have so much personality. Wonderful colourful shot.
What a great shot of a Rainbow Lorikeet. Normally, these guys are found in the wild, however pet stores here do sell them as pets; but you do need a permit to keep them.

@rach_who@mozette They really are cheeky. Apparently he gives his mate a little nip now and then if he gets out of line. His birds are free to come and go as they like but they return at night for a safe roosting spot.
The bird is all that they say up there, and Iove how you got the finger stroking him...isn't that some drywall or paste or paint on the finger? I think that just tells the story so well too.
