On this day 16 years ago (14/11/98) we lost our beautiful daughter Janis in a car accident. I took this shot just a week before. I had decided not to post this but after reading @amandal 's wonderful story about the robin and her daughter I thought I would share it. The reason I didn't want to share it is because I don't want sympathy and that might seem the reason for posting but I just wanted to share her beauty and honour her memory. I know she's still close by and maybe she will be happy that I am sharing with you all.
@amandal This is the shot Amanda. You words really touched me and I thought if you can bare your soul like that then maybe I can just for one day. Thank you!
What a beautiful daughter you have. I am sure wherever she is she will be pleased with this photo. I know what you mean about sympathy. When I lost my daughter almost 2 years ago I didn't want sympathy either, but if we don't mention the ones we have lost it is as if they have never existed. We have to keep the memories of the good times. I lost my daughter suddenly too and there is nothing worse than the police knocking on your door to tell you your daughter has died.
I love the colour of Janis' hair, the same as Zoe's. Thank you for sharing. Take care.
Your daughter was really beautiful and I'm sure she is smiling to see that mom is sharing her portrait... and I am happy you did. We should keep the memory of the dear ones alive with a smile, like the one she has on this portrait. I can't imagine the pain you went through, and don't wish it on anybody. How old was her? May her rest in peace .
She is so beautiful! I have felt the same way about posting pics of/ or regarding my mom. I honestly don't want sympathy - but my project is basically 'a year in our life' and to not post would feel like a big hole. So thanks for sharing, and I like what Sue WIlde said - not sympathy but hugs!
Oh what a beautiful girl... I know exactly how you feel... we lost our beautiful daughter 2 1/2 years ago to breast cancer.. It is so cruel that our beautiful young ladies can not reach their full potential... Kylie was 32 and had only been married 18 months.. Memories last forever... xxx
Thank you for sharing your soul and your beautiful daughter with us. I know you are not looking for sympathy, but I am deeply sorry for your loss. May God give you strength to carry on and still treasure her sweet memory.
So sorry to do this group tag but I really needed to thank you all for your lovely words. I know some of you understand from personal experience and my heart goes out to you also. Most people are touched with loss of some kind, whether it be family, friend or acquaintance and it's so often the kind words that help you through. So, thank you my 365 family, it means so much to know you care.
Ana, she was soon to have her 18th birthday and start a law degree.
Amanda, you are always so honest and open, I admire that so much.
@bella_ss I lost a grandson at age 14....six years ago now and it feels like yesterday. Sympathy does not heal the heart...but photos of him still make me smile! His memory will stay with me forever!
