No, just the roots of a fig tree on Magnetic Island. Taken while on a workshop with photographer Darren Jew. I love these massive trees, we used to climb them as teenagers and could sit chatting for hours... probably all about boys!
Isn't it great how a photo can bring back such wonderful memories? I'm so thankful for the carefree childhood I had... very little money, but so much adventure in our own backyards.
great picture; the memories add quite the layer of meaning. Liam had a trampoline: jumped and jumped and jumped, year after year. But when teenage years arrived, you'd look out there and see a clump of teens sitting on the trampoline chatting and chatting and chatting.
What a fantastic shot, fantastic details. And it really is great how a shot, or even a place can recall such fantastic memories. I haven't heard of Darren, I will have to look him up. I really enjoy discovering talented Australian photographers. And I hope the second day of the workshop was a little less dramatic :)
Fabulous shot. I think David would like the idea of a 'sausage tree'. He never met a sausage he didn't like. haha.
Glad that it brought back memories. I love how certain sights and smells take you back to your childhood.
