It was about -14C when I took this pic. We were there just long enough to see how beautiful all that snow is. I really don't know how people live there but they seem to cope. We even got a little used to it in the couple of days we were there. All that dressing and undressing each time you want to leave the house is a bit of a pain.
It's times like that when family is so important. I'm glad you got to experience the snow, its really not so bad once you get used to it. Getting little ones dressed all the time can be exhausting though!
Couldn't agree more Shreralee. Great for the first few days and then a bloody pain in the A. Going anywhere is a real drama when you have little ones. Mind you our continuing run of bloody hot dry weather is wearing a bit thin at present also.
How special to have been there to see everyone and capture the family together. It does look cold. But what a tough way to have to come home. Thoughts are with you.
A really beautiful family shot. Love the multi-coloured coats. So sorry to hear of what happened. I was abroad on holiday when my mum passed away and interrupted the vacation to be home for the funeral. And, just my luck, about 8 years later I was on holiday in Wales when I received a phone call saying my dad had passed away, too.
@annied Thanks Annie, unfortunately my MIL passed away and my son's MIL was tragically taken in a car accident. Difficult time especially when someone is taken before their time. Thanks for asking.
I remember cold when we lived in the UK. As you say it takes so long to get dressed in the mornings.
So sorry to hear your visit was cut short............wishing you strength to get through the difficult days ahead!
