These wild lupines grow in an environmentally sensitive preserve that is home to small Karner
Blue Butterflies who depend on these flowers. So they say. I saw a group of them feasting on a pile of bird poop. Three good things:
1. I am not showing you THAT picture
2. It was a nice 2.6 loopin’ walk
3. Worth the walk to find this field
I'd choose dining on lupines over bird poop any day. Such a wonderful field of wild lupines. Maybe more discriminating Karner Blues will appreciate the bounty.
