I owned my Nissan Frontier for nine years and drove it 136,000 miles and I just listed it for sale today. I am going to buy my very first brand new car, a Mazda3. I've always bought used, so maybe I'm going through a mid-life crisis. Hubby just bought a Jeep Renegade, so we don't need truckie anymore. Thank you, Truckie, you were fun! Remember this camping trip we took to SP Crater together? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S_P_Crater
UPDATE: I sold Truckie three days after posting it. I didn't sell it for the price that I was hoping for, but that was only because I probably was putting too high of a personal value on the truck. I listed it for $8000 and got chewed down to let it go for $6800. I didn't want to sell less for $7000, but $6800 was close enough. I hope that Truckie went to a good home!
what colour is your new car? we just upgraded from a 1995 model to a 2004 model subaru, feels very strange, like stepping into the future for us, but a new car would feel way to flash lol ! you get so used to a car.
Hard to give up a car, isn't it - silly but I guess many of us become attached and associate things like camping trips and stuff with it. Congratulations on the new one - like how you showing it goodbye.
I had my 86 Volvo 235 (wagon) for something over 300K miles in 25+ years. If it wasn't for the deer that stepped into my way coming home from work, I might still have it.
