First day of the new year by blueberry1222

First day of the new year

Today marks my 8th anniversary with 365. I joined Jan 1, 2014 with this premier photo: https://365project.org/blueberry1222/365/2014-01-01
There are currently no flowers blooming in my garden aside from some rouge cactus blooms. We are expecting a freeze tonight and for the next few days. Weather this year has been crazy weird, but in a good way. We got more rain in 2021 than we have in the recent past. (It even rained last night!) I can only hope that 2022 will bring more wet weather for our part of the world, as we sorely need it.

I have a feeling that I'll be spending most of my leisure time in Arizona again this year, which is perfectly fine by me. There's plenty of places in this state that I haven't been to yet, so I plan to visit some new locations. The photo I posted today is of a local Chinese Pistache tree that I have been watching change colors. The storm last night took off most of its remaining leaves. Winter has finally arrived in Phoenix!

Here is my latest bloggy blog entry to kick off this brand new year: https://kmarson.com/2021/12/30/in-a-perfect-world/
