Thanks to @sixthblade and all your other lovely comments and tips I thought I should give this moon thingy another go. Cloudless skies are rare here - one advantage of the immensely high winds we had all night and all day. No chance of steadying my little table tripod on any surface with this much wind though. That had been scary enough last night...I managed to shelter in my front door way just as I came home from work (do note the time!!) and just about managed to steady my zoom lens. Only the neighbours across the road looked a tad perplexed ;-)
Sorry, enough rambling! Got to get my outfit and self ready for tomorrow night's christmas party - woohoo! I apologise I won't get to catch up with your shots until the weekend (hangover permitting). Have a great end of week everyone :-)
Thank you all for your wonderful comments on yesterdays's shots! You all rock and your tips and advice are greatly appreciated :-)
Glad the tips helped -- this is a really cool moon surface shot - well done!! Sat is a lunar eclipse, apparently we may get to see a red moon, I am getting up a 4.00am to go see it/photograph it ... you may want to check your local sites. Well done on this one though!!
