A first Winter walk with my Dad to a little wilderness around the corner, cameras in tow. This used to be the U.S. Army's area for military exercises, now much of it still open space and some of it protected space for plants and birds. New housing was built around the edges, a skater park and a popular little hill perfect for sledging. Just a little sprinkle of snow was excuse enough for the neighbourhood kids to finally get their sledges out after a very wet and mild December.
