St Stephen's Chapel in Esztergom.
The chapel was first mentioned in 1281. It was destroyed during the Turkish occupation and was rebuilt around 1745 on the site of the present building. The present altarpiece is a work by Károly Jakobey from 1875, depicting St Stephen and his son St Imre.
It is so ornate. Well presented.

Looks like quite an architectural gem.

Wow! Can't you just imagine how much that would cost to build these days?

Wonderful altarpiece! Thank you for what you have written about the chapel and the creator of the altarpiece!
