I like the pots and the caption but I wonder how it would look cropped to just the line of pots?

You're quite right, Suzanne, thank you for that thought. I had in fact looked at the group of four on the right in a neat, stratified composition, but in the end I preferred a more dynamic and uncomfortable balance. There is a nice little exercise to prove that every original contains a surprising number of individual images.
