All hail the quad bobbin, lol.
Ya know.. I don't usually get excited about sewing stuff. But dang... this thing looks like it could really get the job done :)

And a Spinal Tap reference is always welcome, lol.

This looks like crazy torture (can you tell I was traumatized by sewing as a kid?) Where to begin the threading...? Wow.

Your friend Wendy is very talented...but I'll think I'll go with Spinal Tap's eleven--haha, clever you. Great photo

Somehow I can't see sewing a delicate fabriced dress on that machine, but would guess it's an industrial thing.. A great shot as always, Brad.

Wow, so can this thing reach 200 MPH?
July 23rd, 2010
Industrial strength...you don't want to have to rethread one of these!

That looks like a very sturdy, well built, heavy sewing machine.

Looked at your friend Wendy Anne's stuff and she is very talented, gorgeous stuff. When you say sewing machine though I have a picture in my head and it doesn't resemble your shot which is great... as usual and it seems it is your birthday? Hope it is awesome :-)

From the thumbnail, I really thought it *was* an amp of some kind. The classic Spinal Tap reference is perfect!

Terrifying but an amazing piece of kit. Makes a great study.

I think you could sew right thru your finger -- maybe right thru your whole hand !!! I've never seen a sewing machine like this one -- but your friend sure puts it to a wonderful and talented use.
Oh my -- I do feel OLD, OLD, OLD -- reading the other comments as I know nothing about Spinal Tap or any of its music. When I hear "spinal tap" I think of a medical procedure..........
