I went shopping for a photo today and my feet brought me to the Wellcome Collection on the Euston Road but all the exhibitions were closed on Monday :( So I carried on walking to Tottenham Court Road. Briefly visited the University College London and then by chance saw the Grant Museum of Zoology. Talk about a museum of horrors. It was so macabre. Animal specimens in jars, skeletons of primates and other animals, organs cut open. It was horribly fascinating but the most disturbing for me was a jar of baby moles near the entrance of the museum. I took a photo but honestly, I don't want to be reminded of it so I haven't posted it. I then go to the reception area and it says something to the effect of 'Become a sponsor and get a mole for free'. Urgh I thought, I don't want one of those and then I look to the right and there's a jar of cute and cuddly toy moles. But my skin is still crawling from seeing the other ones. I must bring the boys here! Then again, maybe not as it may give them nightmares. I then walk to Heals and get this beautiful photo of their stairway. Now that is better...
@casablanca it's actually really clever as they have a mirrored table at the bottom of the staircase which gives the illusion of yet more lights. Simple but very effective.
