I came across some interesting information (this pictures is of the internet). apparently Torontonians pay the highest parking rate per day.
$23.00 Toronto
$20.00 Vancouver
$18.00 Montreal
$18.00 Edmonto
$15.00 Calgary
$15.00 Ottawa
I'm glad we're retired and don't have to drive to the city of Toronto too often.
@kerristephens Yes Kerri you read it right. we got to keep in mind that there is so much going on in the city especially during the summer months. tourist coming to the city to see the CN tower, visit the Rogers Centre may it be for a hockey game and there are almost games on everyday, scheduled right now are a few I will name..Toronto Blue Jay vs. Seattle Mariners, Baltimore Orioles, Texas Rangers and many many more. 3-4 major theathers and quite a few small ones, famous restaurants, movie making in Toronto, Harbour front, ferry to the Islands, then the car races or motorcycle like the Grand Prix of Mosport July 20. and one of the biggest event is the annual Caribana which is held for 3 days. they are expecting over one million visitors. it started in 1967 so 44 years now. with so little parking available they can raise the prices. many homeowners take advantage of the shortage and rent out there driveways or let people park on their front or back lawns..it you can find something like that you can save a bit of money. Toronto is a great Metropolitan city...

@kerristephens Kerry I juist reread my writing ..I thought more about what you wrote and checked back I was wrong it was suppose to be per day not per hour. now that sounds a bit or quite a bit better..Sorry for my mistake.
@blueburn11 Hey here I'm again...thought more about the price of parking and went back on the internet..my mistake itshould read per day parking not per hour. now thats a bit better.. you probable pay that much where you are????
Nice view of the city I remember too well the CNN Tower when we visited in 2009 - I don't remember the price for parking, I am sure my hosts(cousin & her husband) discreetly paid for it.
It seems to be the same here in most cities very expensive , but in Ludlow you can park for one pound and fifty pence for all day, or leave you car and go on the park and ride free
Great photo. I am actually heading to your part of the world next week but will be in Whistler which I see is quite a distance from you. I am SO excited as I have never been to the US or Canada !
@rosiemerrigan wow great for you. Whistler in British Columbia. please take lots of pictures....yes unfortunately that's way too far away..Canada is so big and has lots of provinces.
