@karenann Thank you Karen you're a pal. as long as I take the painkillers I can stand it and standing is what I do the most besides walking a bit. so when I tell you that we decided to go on our vacation afterall (everthing was planned way in advance and totally paid for) you might think that's crazy but waiting at home for the MRI appointment which I found out isn't until June the 9th is still such a long time away..so maybe the vacation might actually help me in taking my mind of the pain and the long waiting period. what do you think?

I think that if you can do it ... then go for it, Bruni! Just get plenty of rest and DO NOT injure yourself more. Getting your mind off of it can be great and can be relaxing too. Take the pain pills along and cut the vacation short if you can't take it. If you're like me, you'll go. We're from that tough German stock, Bruni. However, just move slowly and carefully and I hope that Hans makes you get plenty of rest. :) My blessings go with you both.

I like this picture, the white horse, perfectly centered between the metal with his head resting on it. Great shot! I know about the pain, I had to go on my husbands retirement gift to Rome, Mediterranean, Venice and Egypt for 21 days. I had a slip and fall one week before this trip, which could not be postponed, as we had did that 6 months before due to my Mom's poor health. I took my pain pills, climbed all the steps, went into the pyramids and so many hard things, but fun to do. I was hurting pretty bad by dinner time on the ship, but it was all worth it. I'm sort of in the same situation again, not sure why the back has gotten worse and we are scheduled to see my son and grandson in Rio in August, along with our daughter and grandchildren in Norfolk, on our first stop. It's a 13 hr. plane ride total and if that doesn't get me, the one mile ride up his steep, rocky mountain road will jar whatever I have, hey, it might put it back in place. I haven't seen my son in 5 yrs. and haven't seen him together with his on top of his mountain ever, as they were separated for 9 yrs. So, this will be a joyous reunion. My husband is concerned about me making the trip, but I don't want to postpone it. Happiness sometimes takes your mind off the pain, so I feel you should go and just take your pain pills and be careful! That's why I'm up right now, I was hurting to bad to sleep. Best of luck and blessings to you both. I love your pictures, by the way!

@granny7 HI LINDA ( I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY KEYBOARD ..IT WON'T TYPE IN SMALL LETTERS). FIRST OF ALL I LIKE TO SAY HI FROM SUNNY FLORIDA (KISSAMMEE). WITH LOTS OF PILLS AND FREQUENT STOPS WE MADE IT IN 2 DAYS..2200 KM OF DRIVING. NOW I'VE LOST OF TIME TO RELAX.. I WISH ALL GOES WELL ON YOUR TRIP...YOU MUST BE REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOUR SON AND GRANDSON HAPPILY UNITED AGAIN. WISH YOU ALL THE BEST OF TIME AND "TALK TO YOU WHEN I SEE YOUR POSTINGS"

What a gorgeous photo, Bruni. She is beautiful. I was reading above and forgive me for not remembering what has been going on with you. I remember your needing an MRI but do not remember why. I hope your vacation helps and that you have a great time. My husband is sure suffering from what they think is sciatica and he does not go to P/T till next week. I thought staying home yesterday would help him but seemed to put him and me in more pain. Better to get out like Saturday and sit at the picnic table, feed the ducks ad squirrels and get out. Today we had to run a few errands and the park was too busy so went to the creek but he fizzled out fast then I did with Vertigo so came home. I try to keep my focus on other things so I can forget how I feel then I hear him screech in pain. He works full time so has to stay well since I do not work. Take care.
