View from my room at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, Ont..
Just to let you know that I'm up and about..unfortunately in the hospital since last week Saturday. will have to stay until coming Friday. I'm on all kinds of different medications to bring my heart back into it's normal rythym. I've tried a few times to upload a picture or comment on my friends pictures but to no avail. haven't been able to figure out yet what's not working here..if its 365 or the internet connection here at the hospital. so I try once more and hope this upload will go through ok. talk to all of you later. miss being on 365.

@darsphotos good morning Darlene. thanks so much for notifying my friends. it's just a little after 6 am, made a cup of tea and strolled down the hallway. noone is up yet. feeling good this morning. you can look forward to another e-mail later in the day. have a good one.
Bruni, your photo came through. Glad to see you are doing ok, but hopefully they can get things normalized for you. Will be sending up some thoughts and prayers.
Oh Bruni! Do get better!!! I know all too well what you must be going through, although I am not going through it myself. I'm watching my SO go through the hard time breathing and recovery after having heart surgery (at such a young age too). So I feel for you. I will light a candle for you. I hope they are able to sort you out and you come home soon better than when you went in! At least you have a nice view from your room, so that's a plus! Yeah? Sending major hugs and positive thoughts to you, my 365 friend!
@bruni You are welcome, Bruni. I am glad you are up and moving. You were up early today. I am glad you are feeling good and hope this continues and you go home for good this time and not have to go back to the ER or hospital again. I will watch for another e-mail from you. @tooki Thank you tooki..all is well now and I'm going home tomorrow.. this hospital is huge..you actually do not see it on my picture just the overpass into a much newer building where there are doctors and surgent's offices also some procedure rooms etc. I'm in front on the other side above the Emergency facing the new building. this hospital is in the process if being converted into a teaching hospital as well..so they constantly build on to it..I was in good hands and appreciated all they did for me. thanks you so much for your concern and comment.
@snowy Than you Diana. I actually have. they first had to try all avenues with all kinds of different medications until they could approach the Government to allow the hospital access to a certain drug for me which finally worked. you cant get it with a doctor's prescriptio. I've to buy it directly from the hospital and it has to be administered and monitored here as well. I'm now back into a normal heart rythym nd will be sent home tomorrow...thank you so much Diana for concern..I'll soon be back in full swing on 365.
@georgews everything seems so be ok now after finally getting approval from the government to be administered a special med which did the trick. home tomorrow. thanks George for all your concerns.
@prttblues Bev your hugs and thoughts must've done the trick. I'm bettter now and in normal rythym for a few days already. they had to get a very special med which hda to be approved by the governemt and can only be administered at the hospital under special monitoring. well it worked. I got the first pill starting with one in the evening and then two the next two days and the last one of the six tomorrow morning and after that I'll be on my way home. everything start new now including my time on 365...which I've missed so much. got internet here in the hospital but there're so many glitches ..it koncked out on me all the time and I almost lost 2 days of the 4 days I bought it for...oh well...so my dear friend..thank you for all of your concerns and I know that you went through something similar with your SO..hope is well now. talk to you again soon.
@melissapike Thank you for the good thoughts Melisssa...yes I'm better and should leave here tomorrow sometimes.... then back to normal including spending some time at 365..need to catch up on some of your guys latest pictures I missed and adding a few comments. till then.
@digitalrn Rick your good thoughts and prayers helped. I'm already in normal rythym for a few days.... that's after the hospital exerted all venues open to them and since none of the meds worked they finally got the go ahead from our Goverment to try a specil med. which can't be dispensed by a doctor and can't be bought at the usual pharmacies..only at the hospital. so after I leave here tomorrow I'll keep on taking this pill for 3 months at which time they'll be able to let me know if the ablation worked or if it has to be repeated.. nice waiting game eh.... Thanks for all of your comments during this time..they were very helpful.
@darsphotos Darlene I had problems with the internet which I purchased here at the hospital..they finally fixed it today so I've been answering some comments..it's getting late now and I'll for sure sent you an e-mail tomorrow morning. thanks and till then.
@bruni Well I do hope and pray that things will hold for you, and to think that the governemnt has to approve treatment. That is scary to me, but I do think that is where our healthcare is heading here in the States.
@digitalrn Rick I agree with you about that it might go that way with your health system in the near future. this drug I'm on now I was told by a nurse is readily available and is disbursed with a prescription at any pharmacy. she also said that this drug - Tikosyn (dofetilide) of which I take 375 mcg 2 x a day is the first thing they try in the US to bring atrial fibrillation back to sinus rythym.. I had a good night last night and I'm up since 5 am this morning and feel great.
