Convoluted

The street where our hospital is located is so convoluted these days on account of some construction going on and just plain being a busy street. I had to return a holter which I was wearing for 48 hours for monitoring my heart rythm. so for my daily picture I chose this street scene. Davis Drive, the name of this street, is not only busy because of the hospital traffic but also because of our train station. the Go Train which stops there on the way to and from Toronto brings a lot of people and cars to this busy street . needless to say there are also a lot of medical buildings and private doctor offices on this stretch a well. right across from the hospital is now a huge parking lot. I think it might be privately owned not belonging to the hospital where you can park day or night for only $5.00. the hospital parking areas are charging $3.50 per every half hour or $69.00 per day..so you can imagine this $5.00 parking place is very busy. now to my pictures. the picture on the right shows the hospital with it's emergency department on the ground level. there is also a indoor parking garage. a bridge connects you with the new Medical Arts building (on the left side of this pic). this is where I had to go today. I hope I haven't bored you too much with all this.
That seems like a very stressful experience! Hope your monitor results are all good news.

I knew Toronto was big, but have never seen this side of it before. Thank you for sharing this with us. I love seeing the city in which you live. I can imagine that with normal traffic, that added construction is a nightmare! I hope that they found that your heart rhythm was normal!

Nice shot!! Thought our hospital car park charges were high, but yours are extortionate!!

An interesting collage - the explanation is interesting. It sounds like a better traffic management scheme is needed there!

A great explanation. Hope you be OK. Nice pic. of the city. Having a car seems to get unpayable. I gladly can do most by cycle.

@prttblues Hi Bev. Nice to know that you're concerned about me. unfortunately I'll have to wait till my next appointment which is scheduled now for December 28th but my thoughts are positive. need good news because Hans and I like to go on a vacation in January.
when you speak of the city where we live in I'll have to mention that we live north of Toronto ( a good hour drive )..our town is called Keswick and has a population of about 25,000. the next larger town is Newmarket..Grace lives there and the hospital is also in Newmarket. a drive of 20 minutes from home. population of Newmarket as of 2011 was 80,000. I wouldn't want to live in a city as large as Toronto.

@pyrrhula Well we have to take the huge distances here in consideration and the many cars on the road. cycline would be a bit dangerous. but good for you. you save money and keep healthy...good excercise.
December 22nd, 2012
I sure hope you are doing well, Bruni. Read above to see what is going on. I look forward to hearing from you about your appointment on Dec. 28 and wishing the best for you. Nice collage of the area, Bruni.

@bruni We have a solution for the danger . By a collision with a car and a cycle, the car is ALWAYS to blame and have to pay the damage. Judges say`s : a car is bigger, stronger and more dangerous so they have to watch out more carefully.

@pyrrhula hey that's the way it should be. you guys are smart people.
