Our neighbor has this old car in the backyard and when I took the picture of the three little boys enjoying the sprinkler, I also saw the kids playing in this old car. through the window you couldn't see that the car windows in the back had no glass in them. I saw the kids get in and their dog followed them. then I noticed the kids getting out, slamming the door, but the dog stayed put. I watched this for quite awhile and then went outside to investigated. that's when I saw the dog was alright, as the window pane was removed. I didn't want the dog to suffocate in the heat yesterday. this morning, to my surprise I noticed the paint and writing on the car. missed the kids doing it. when I asked hubby why the neighbor is keeping this old car, he said Brian, the neighbor's name, is keeping it for the chassis.
Like others, mixed thoughts of this is the right toy for kids. Great capture anyhow.
( There is a lot of different between the two farms and in the west part they are also different )
My FIL had a wrecker business and had a field for wrecked cars. There were small roads to sections of the cars and some would run. My boys would go out and find a car and practice driving in them!! When they went out there, they would find stray dogs and cats living in some of them. My FIL would put food and water out for them every now and again to make sure they didn't starve. My boys would do graffiti on the cars too!! I think they make great toys as long as they are safe!! LOL Cute photo!! FAV!
@cashew I'm not there mother, but was worried. I saw one open up the trunk today and was praying he wouldn't climb in there or shot the lid of one of the other boys. I'm so glad these kids are only visiting for I don't know how long. apparently heir mom is in the hospital and Brian and his girlfriend are looking after the boy for her. Brian builds things or takes thing apart to sell. he was in a terrible car accident a few years ago. he still walks on crutches. head on collision in the winter on icy road. not his fault though.
In that heat not a great idea for the kids or for the dog. They do not know any better and the heat can exhaust one very easily. Strange that these kids were allowed to paint it or even have access to paint. A good capture, Bruni.
