Unusual cloud formations

Hubby is doing a house renovation for the lady friend of our tenant. she bought a lovely little house here in our neighborhood, but wants Hans to make a lot of changes indoors from moving the entrance door and bay window further over. also taking two windows out (there're four on the other wall in the living room and installing those in the enclosed back porch. there're too many things she wants changed to mention. so last night, Hans and I drove to Newmarket to Lowe's to get some information on installing a glass cube or box, as they call them, but they only sell them on line. on our way home, we saw these gorgeous looking cloud formations. I asked Hans to lean back so I can snap some pictures across the driver seat. some of the inside of the car got into the pictures. we were on the 404 highway going 120 km an hour, no time to focus, just click and hope for the best.
Great composition.

That's a lot of renovation! I hope it goes well for all involved. This weekend I took many photos from a moving car! I can see why this dramatic sky was calling to you.

@cejaanderson Jane, I should take a before and after picture. too late for some the inside reno, but to move the one side window and front entrance door plus the bay window requires a permit from the township, as this is a structural change. so I can still take a photo before and later after picture.
Hans figures on about two weeks all together. he's been building new homes, done house lifts to reset on a proper basement foundation (this area used to be cottage country), additions, you name it, he does it. he built our home 28 years ago and I still love it. former clients as he calls them, call him all the time, but he's not working full time anymore.

@pyrrhula She got a very good deal on the house. brand new modern huge kitchen with lots of cupboard space and drawers. brand new appliances 4 of them. new fenced in yard. and the rest of the house is nice too. she just wants to make some changes to make it more of a home than a cottage. most of inside is done. outside is fine too, it's just that she doesn't like the big bay window and want's to change the entrance away from the living room. so Hans is making her dream. come through. he's good at what he does.

Catching the inside of the car has made for a beautiful shaped collage, I thought you'd done it like that. The cloud formations are lovely and well done getting them at such speed.

@shirleybankfarm I thinks the black from the interior of the car adds to the way I placed the pictures. single they didn't have the same appeal, except for the clouds.

@bruni It was meant to be read as a joke. In Holland we would say: waar bemoei je je mee. = something like : mind you own business. Hans is great and he sure can do the job beautiful.

Good that this lady has someone who knows how to modify buildings and what consequences there will be! Weight bearing walls and all that! I like seeing clouds with the light on the edges too!

Pretty clouds! Did you have the same problem I always get - the car is never in quite the right spot for capturing the best clouds!

Too bad she can't ship her bay window to me. I've always wanted one in my living room. It looks like you captured the spot where the wind currents in the atmosphere are pushing the clouds back. Very cool!

I love the clouds. I do this as well when my husband is driving. I wish I lived closer. I did not know Hans was that handy. I would pay him of course but would be nice to have a trusting person doing work. FAV

Lovely shots, Bruni. Ummm... how safe was it that you were in front of Hans while he was driving fast down a highway? lol ... You crack me up! Sounds like Hans has got a big project ahead. Good for him! Hope it all goes well!
