After our excursion to the ruins in Ephesus we visited a carpet warehouse. after we watched how the silk threads are extracted from the silk cocoons, we saw the actual making of carpets and once we were shown to the show room were they displayed one carpet on top the other, we were greeted with a refreshing cup of apple tea and a delicious pastry. we were also encouraged to feel or step on the carpets. this little boy stole the show. he didn't have to be reminded twice. some people were actually purchasing carpets and so we had lots of time browsing around.
Great collage! We LOVED that apple tea and I still have some that I bought as we headed back to our ship. I don't think it's any good now but it was quite delicious back when I first purchased it! They displayed the rugs the same way and what surprised me was how when you thought you'd seen the most beautiful, the next one was even prettier!
