With no particular plans we often just jump on a local bus and see where it will take us. what I found of interest was that anyone can wave the bus down and get on. often peddlers get onboard trying to sell fresh buns and/or cakes, others ice cream, cold drinks, etc.
Once we took a city bus and rode it to the end of the line. a little bumpy stretch of dirt road. there were two tiny houses. one had a store attached to it. Hans went in to ask if the return bus would stop here. the answer was yes and then the old lady brought two folding chairs out for us. when the bus came, Hans tried to give her some money, but she made it very clear that she would not accept it. the people are so friendly in Mexico.
