Nov 10: Macro by bulldog

Nov 10: Macro

A really busy day today; sobering up from last night, massive dog walk along the Thames near Henley (photos to follow), Christmas shopping and then the pub with some good friends.
I took this shot on the walk and although it's not quite close enough for Macro, it's close enough..
I was figuring that I could take some more shots of these (link below), but the caterpillars have now eaten them all. http://365project.org/gphelps5/365-additions/2012-08-30

Alternative comedy shot: http://365project.org/gphelps5/365-additions/2012-11-10

The link is empty... says "sorry....". Anyway, these mushroom look fabulous. May ask if you were sober when you took? because if you weren't, you are an amazing photographer... LOL. Just joking.

I've got those two flowers - one of course, is a nasturtium and the other a type of cornflower - so pretty! These mushrooms obviously like these wet rocks!

Thank you all for your great comment on this photo. I don't think it is quite a Macro shot, after a very busy day, it will have to do,
I was sobering up during this walk AnaZed and this was about half way round for half & half really.

@gphelps5 hmm... I don't think you should be allowed in charge of a camera!

Looks like a little mushroom citadel! I would have thought all the caterpillars would have flown by now.....
November 11th, 2012
@filsie65 - I think they have but they have not left much behind. I think next year I will have to teach them how to fly as I find them.
November 11th, 2012
Theres no good blaming the caterpillars Bulldog, you WOULD leave them . . . Love the fungus, brilliant shot of it, can just imagine that slightly slippery texture.
November 11th, 2012
@tishpics - Thanks Pat, but how did you know the caterpillars had a slightly slippery texture?

They seem somewhat lacking in eyes ;-) but it's a lovely capture as a serious piece of work.

Terrific macro, beautiful mushroom colony.
November 11th, 2012
I think it's a fine macro. Mushrooms are great macro subjects. These have that interesting edge- feathery in a way. Great shot.
