Jan 11: Shops by bulldog

Jan 11: Shops

After a busy day in the office, I thought I would stop off in Chesham again tonight (after my curious shot from the 9th) to take a few shots of the hustle & bustle of High Street life.
Unfortunately, the town was empty and looked more like a ghost town, than a High Street.
The only part I found was this tiny, semi-cobbled lane, where there was still some activity.

A big night life in Chesham I can see. They all must go to bed early or perhaps there was something exciting on TV.

There is NEVER anything exciting on the TV. I really could not believe how dead this town was at about 7pm.

The lack of people makes this shot. Is it cropped or did you get down to ground level to take it????

The place was dead, I got on the floor to take it.
I took other shots from higher up, but like this one.

Like the pov - worth getting on the floor! And also the architecture.

Taken from street level makes this picture much more special and alive!

It's odd because it's a very attractive little street, but you are right, without people it looks almost desolate. Pretty shop signs though.

Wish we had a lane of shops like this. I like the way the window and frontage lights illuminate the brickwork.

Love the POV, allows you to see the street from a completely different perspective (unless of course you are an ant) Atmospheric and exciting. Love it

Looks lovely to me. I was in Sports Direct yesterday on the retail park (with George of course) but nothing, just nothing could entice me to capture the hideousness of it for all time with a camera...! This is quite charming

Good POV. The shops look really quaint, not the usual boring frontages.

I love Chesham, I grew up there and it is where I had my kids :) Beautiful place for photography..........more inspiring that Milton Keynes
January 12th, 2013
Really like the POV... More familiar to me than it is to you!
January 12th, 2013
Great POV. I like it a lot
January 12th, 2013
Chesham is quite a cutesy little town like that.

Ha ha thought Digital Hermit must be vertically challenged but on investigation I see you used to work together!!! Lovely looking place empty probably due to the cold?
January 12th, 2013

Great shops picture.

A lovely looking place. Less people the better. Strong lines of perspective.

Great POV. Fave.

Lovely night shot. Great perspective.

January 13th, 2013
This looks cute :) Nice shot!

Great POV.
I went to Chesham last week, during the day. There's so many shops closed in the High street now, it's like a ghost town in the day time too. Such a shame!
January 14th, 2013
great POV.........nicely done!
January 14th, 2013
Love the PoV on this.
January 15th, 2013
