Feb 16: Stacking Stones by bulldog

Feb 16: Stacking Stones

I have always wanted to try this and thanks to Mrs B reversing into a stationary pole (that jumped out behind her), I got to try it out with some old house bricks.

In case your wondering, they are weighing down an additional bit of plastic that i glued and Gaffer-taped to the inside of the snapped bumper.

Some of you may also like to know that Grandads box of screws (see the 8th Feb) came to the rescue again today.

Tee hee.. I shouldn't laugh but there are several known cases in my life when the poles... trucks and other vehicles.... even trees have suddenly emerged on my way....

A stationary pole... as opposed to? lol
Looks like you have a Ka there - they are notorious for taking out poles, fences, brickwork etc with their large rear ends. Hope Mrs B is ok.

Who put the pole in the way ? I hope that the bricks work . I hope Mrs B is feeling better
February 16th, 2013
Uhm those jumping poles are very tricky... poor Mrs B. So good you are so understanding and creative.
February 16th, 2013
lol I shouldn't laugh but that is so something I would do :)
February 16th, 2013
Oh dear poor Mrs B!! I'm pleased the box of screws came in handy!!
February 16th, 2013
Cool shot but poor Mrs. B. You have to watch out for those jumping poles.
February 16th, 2013
Those jumping poles are just soooo annoying.
February 16th, 2013
Ouch!
February 16th, 2013
Oh my. I've had a run-in with those poles before. They are so annoying.
February 16th, 2013
We have those same poles here. It's only a car--as long as Mrs B is okay, all is fine.
February 16th, 2013
aaah much akin to the bus stop obscured by people!!! I once read a whole load of insurance claim comments....utterly hilarious.....well at least you had fun and a pic!
February 16th, 2013
Expensive those poles........ mine was!! How considerate of her to provide the elements for a pic!!!
February 16th, 2013
Poor Mrs B. hope she is OK, and Mr Fix-it 's repair works
February 16th, 2013

February 16th, 2013
At least you seem to see the funny side. Annoying but we've all done it!
February 16th, 2013
Well, it's better than reversing into our other car . . .
February 16th, 2013
LOL! Not quite the serene zen feel of most stacked stone pics!! I love it.
February 16th, 2013
i hate when that happens! but love that you can take a picture of it!
February 16th, 2013
What a funny shot. Most appropriate for the word ROCKS.
February 16th, 2013
You have a good sense of humor. AND yes, those standing poles do have a habit of leaping out at cars! Good shot of your pile of "stones".
February 16th, 2013
Ooch - poor Mrs B I hope she wasn't too shaken up.
Surprised the little people didn't get in to help you with the tape and stuff. Great stones though - very elegant :)
February 17th, 2013
Nice stacking stones, great minds - slightly different setting!! Hope Mrs B's okay and you don't "go on and on" about this incident for evermore as men can be prone to....! ;0)

Poor Mrs B, she must have got a terrible fright when the pole jumped out behind and hit her. I hope you let her have a lie down and offered her a cup of tea and a biccie.
February 17th, 2013
glad Mrs B has you to fix up her little car
February 17th, 2013
Where would we be without gaffer tape. My Mrs B took the wing mirror off when the hedge moved :)
February 17th, 2013
I do love your take on life Mr B.....Have you ever thought of applying as a presenter on Blue Peter! ; D
February 17th, 2013
Some like to use duct tape. But I think caulking works best once it has dried. Nice shot
February 17th, 2013
