At least the slugs and snails don't eat my Hosta flowers!

The flower of the Hosta's are real pretty. did you spray them with something to prevent them from being eaten by slugs and snails? I see a lot of snails on our leaves.

I don't have Hostas but I know their leaves suffer greatly at the gnashers of slugs - what's the secret of keeping them at bay?

@dulciknit .Haven't found a solution yet,mine aren't even in the ground,but in tubs.They are completely leafless.Think the mild winter has been a bonus for them.Late at night our lawn is full of slugs and snails!!
