A frustrating and tiring afternoon, yesterday.John has been unwell with bronchitis this past two weeks.Despite having antibiotics he has not improved.I had to take him to the surgery yesterday afternoon as he was finding it very difficult to breathe. He doctor put him straight on to a nebuliser, saying if this didn't help,he would have to go to hospital.Luckily,it did.She prescribed stronger antibiotics and steroids.I went to the pharmacy, but after 20 mins, the prescription hadn't come through, electronically.I phoned the surgery who told me ,it hadn't been signed off by the duty doctor, and to give it another half an hour.I went back to the pharmacy after 5.00pm,and it still hadn't come through. The pharmacy closes at 5.30 pm,and the prescription finally came through at 5.27 pm.By the time I reached home,I was shattered.
Many thanks for all your views, comments and favs, always much appreciated.
Oh my goodness, Carol. We have heard of so much bronchitis this winter, I’m glad you took him to the doctor. I understand about the stressful pharmacy experience, first hand. Dealing with pharmacies here is so difficult. My doctor prescribed my specific thyroid medicine and the pharmacy filled it with the wrong medication. Here we contact our doctors online through their patient portals. So, back and forth with the doctor’s nurse and back and forth with the pharmacy, it took 4 days to get the right medicine. I hope John steadily improves.
Ooh Carol what a stressful day -- having John not well with the bronchitis was bad enough without all the medication being available on time ! I hope now with the newly prescribed medication John will soon get better ! and you have time and peace to relax !! BTW a lovely shot in monotones !
What a nightmare of a day you have had, Carol! So glad the medication came through, but how stressful for you. I hope John recovers quickly now that he is on stronger meds. (I like this photo. The b&w gives a nice warmth to it...fav)
