Nature Takes it Back

The foundation is all that is left of a building that used to be part of an Air Force base during WW II and is now a large off leash dog walking area.
What a great shot, love all the textures and mossy tones.

And tgat wall is left standing so that dogs have something to lift their back leg to... 😃😃😃
A really nice shot. And impressive how nature can claim its property. I really like those tangled trunks and branches.

Doesn't it always? Only takes a short time and nature reclaims her own

Mossy walls. Lovely old ruins.

The ruins of days gone by, kind of sad, but kind of cool when you find them

When I first saw the image I thought it was from here! You can find foundations of old German WW II buildings almost everywhere around here and along the coast. As soon as you get up to any place where there is a good view out across the North Sea you can find buildings and artillery foundations.

Nature is taking it back, but only slowly, those walls look like they will still be there for a good few years more.

Love the way the moss clings to everything.

Doesn't take Mother Nature long to reclaim things.
