Tonight I went to a gallery showing in Claremont, being run by OBJCT. The exhibition is titled "Modernist Mecca: Post-war Art, Craft, Design and Architecture" inside the former Claremont Museum of Art at the Packing House in Claremont. I was lucky enough to see many different mediums represented: acrylic paintings, photography, ceramics, bronze sculpture, mixed media, wood working and more. Many of Sam Maloof's wood furniture pieces were on display as well as photos of some of the famous architects from the area. I'm pleased that this exhibit will be around until April 25th, and the show's hosts told me I was invited back anytime to shoot when no one was around; while that was a delightful offer and an opportunity I may or may not take them up on, I'm just as happy with patrons in the background (well, some of the time!).
