Beauty Within Her Folds by cheriseinsocal

Beauty Within Her Folds

The sun had all but set when I shot this bloom on my cousin Peg's Magnolia tree. I knew I had wanted to shoot something from her garden and although I had a couple of other decent shots, I decided to go with this one today as it speaks volumes of how I have been feeling as of late; that yes, beauty truly DOES reside WITHIN a person and it need not only be seen from the "pretty" outer shell.

I stuck the camera lens into this bloom and shot blindly, so that is perhaps why things are not exactly clear, but then again, nothing in life is 100% clearly seen or understood or even appreciated.

So, to all of those that sometimes feel as if they are not "beautiful on the outside" I say to them, you are beautiful inside, and that my friend, is really where it counts.
Welcome back. The focus is good on this one.

We had them in the parkway of our house in Cucamonga. They're messy, but very pretty.

Yeah, I can imagine those large leaves would take up a lot of space in your green waste can as well!
