The great thing about camping in May is that you have the beach to yourself. Initially me and a few friends were heading inland to tramp and camp but there's been so much rain we decided to head somewhere with good drainage.
This is Urupukepuka Island in the Bay of Islands.
A lovely shot of this island we camped there many years ago and a storm hit during night tents came down others leaked we got advised to leave there were 14 of us including a 6 mth old with all our gear packed up on the beach it looked like a scene out of the Piano all I could do was laugh needless to say we all got off the island as did lots of other campers .
