@jyokota Who knows what this year will bring - it is very much the current plan to go back, but I've grown accustomed to changing those as often as my socks, so we'll just have to wait and see, won't we! ことしもよろしくおねがいします!
I just came across a box of my grandparents' things and in their last years they lived in Kawagoe, Kamakura, near Enoshima Beach. Not so far from here?
@jyokota Yes, not far at all - about twenty minutes cycle towards Enoshima. Kawagoe is the stop after Enoshima on the Enoden. It's a pretty cool little place, with some funky little cafes & eateries.I wouldn't mind living there myself!
@cityhillsandsea It's been AGES since I've been there so it would seem entirely new to me now. But perhaps some day. My next Japan trip would have been in a couple of weeks (huge sad face here) but obviously it's been canceled. Our group of teens were to go to Sapporo Yuki Matsuri and then our usual week in Niigata. Postponed now til next year. Hoping it will be possible then. But Kawagoe won't be on the agenda on a group trip like this. Perhaps I will take a trip to visit family and friends some time. All my relatives are still in Japan except my sister.
