I knew what my 365 pic would be today around 10 last night! Mama Kitty had her babies around that time. I'm not sure why she chose the porch, but it was probably because it was stormy last night.
I've never seen a cat give birth before, and I still didn't see much. Mama Kitty doesn't let me touch her, so I just looked through the glass in the door. I didn't want to cause her anymore stress than she was already under.
I'm sure she will move them today, so I tried to get a few pics without disturbing her too much.
I love how she is shielding them with her body. You can see the little black one's tiny paw. The black one is the smallest, but I'm fairly sure it was one of the first ones born.
Thanks so much for all the nice comments and favs for my ladybug pics! :0)
.This is so sweet. It is such a great experience to watch how the cats or dogs take care of their babies although we prefer to castrate all our pets and stray cats. There are too many of them here.
Ooh Carolyn, you are so lucky and I am so jealous! I would love to have some little kitties running around! Please post more pics as the kittens grow up. This is a really lovely shot of Mamma Kitty
