While I stood in the tall grass with cicadas emerging all around me, I couldn't help but think about the info I read yesterday. Cicadas can sometimes mistake a human arm or other body parts for a branch or plant and try to feed! Eeek! :0)
Pretty colors, especially the wings, I like the balance of the dark and light. sections. Love the detail; too bad the cicadas can't see their own detail that well. I didn't know they can try to feed on their own body parts!!!!

Yikes! I didn't know they could bite. We don't have any at our house. But, there were tons at Natalyn's school today. One of them snagged a ride on me. A lady knocked one off me in the hallway. It was on my back. It was probably only moments from trying to eat me ! Ha!
