I was going in for the day, when I saw this Gorgone Checkerspot on a dandelion. I was only able to get one open shot. I guess it was ready to close for the day. :0)
Thank you for your kind comments and faves on yesterday's caterpillar pic! I can't always get the pics that I would like to with my little Canon PowerShot, but unless I win the lottery, it's all I have to work with right now. :0)
Oh now, wait a minute! You have NOT been getting all these macros and insect shots with a point and shoot, have you? If so, OMG! I cannot do anything close to you with my point and shoot..it does alot, but not like yours. I really am going to get a DSLR, but just dont' want to rush and get something too soon and regret it. But I think I'll like anything I get, compared to old Canon P and S and blackberry!
@espyetta MaryBeth, I started the project in January with a CanonPowerShot A3100 IS. It died on April 29. I got a Canon PowerShot A3300 IS that same day. All of my project has been done with a point and shoot. :0)
I'm sort of nervous to switch to sometime using a DSLR...I mean, I know I won't use it for everything, as they are not always with you like a P and S. I will use the DSLR for walks, trips, planned things mostly. But anyway, I am not sure my pics will get better and maybe worse, so that freaks me out.
@rach_who My butterfly days are numbered. It's getting cooler everyday and I think a coldfront is coming through on Friday. I'm really going to miss the butterflies! :0)
@espyetta Thank you, MaryBeth! I got the pics you sent me. I'm going to look in my book later. Is the Brian that commented on your pic on facebook on the 365? He cracked me up with his first comment! :0)
@cjwhite No, he is not. Haha. He is a friend from High school and will check out my pics. I guess s omehwere along the way, he read the comments and saw what folks often say. Along the way, he' s picked up all of those he said tonight. So funny. So I taught him "fav" ...:0)
This is beautiful! I too only use a Canon Powershot for my project. When I started my project back in January I was amazed to learn what it could do, using it everyday really let me experiment with it. I always recommend this camera to anyone looking for a good point and shoot.
