Big creepy crawly

Paul Myers@webfoot wanted to see a pic of my snake encounter. This is only a small section of it, but I did get the head. It was at least 5 feet long!

I have always heard them called Chicken Snakes, but they are actually Gray Ratsnakes. They eat small mammals, birds, and eggs. They like to climb trees and hang out on branches. They're harmless to humans, except for an accelerated heart rate upon seeing one. :0)

@webfoot Here's a pic for you. :0)

Oh, they're scary to see when you come across them, harmful or not! Nice to know you kept your cool for long enough to get this.

They do cause me to hyper ventilate if they move before I see them. Slithering monsters!

That's a dandy - I didn't post my find - a copperhead this week laying on top of some high weeds - it was rather shaky (the picture, not the snake) Much prefer yours! Nice job.
