I found some fun facts about these birds for my 365 friends in Canada. :0)
The White-throated Sparrow arrives in Tennessee in early October and departs by mid-May. It can often be heard singing its Oh Sweet Canada Canada Canada song. Canada is also where it breeds, from the Yukon to Newfoundland south to the northeastern United States. In the winter, it is found in the eastern half of the United States south to northern Mexico, with some birds wintering along the Pacific Coast.
Thank you for your kind comments and faves on yesterday's Nuthatch pic! Just a little nutty describes the pic and me. :0)
Another Carolyn beauty . . perfect composition. Not to mention the bird who sings such a pretty song! Love the branches and those dried berries. Great texture and color tones. Your trademark!!
Cute fluff ball of a bird. I haven't seen many of these here on the West coast, most of the Winter Sparrows are White or Golden-crowned where I've been birding. Nice capture.
What a great place to capture this bird. I love the way he's framed. I see a lot of these but they are usually on the ground and among the leaves they don't show up well.
Another perfect photo! Love this and appreciate the information as I did not know this and I don't think I have seen any in my yard. I would love to her them sing! Thank you for sharing!
2 on pp today! And so well deserved. Today's birdie should be there soon. BTW, if you aren't earning money for your bird photos, you should. They are all outstanding.
@cjriggs Thank you so much for all your kind comments! They really mean a lot to me!!! I haven't tried to sell any of my pics, but I have had a few people ask about them. I really don't know where to start. :0)
