Mother Nature opened the butterfly gates for me today. There were butterflies everywhere in the honeysuckle, blackberries, and black haw. I literally didn't know where to point my camera first. It was awesome for my butterfly addiction! :0)
I decided to make a collage of my favorite shots.
Clockwise left to right
Red Admiral
Great Spangled Fritillary
American Lady
Common Buckeye
Great Spangled Fritillary
Red Admiral and Eight-spotted Forester Moth
American Snout
Thank you so much for your kind comments on yesterday's Skipper Sipper!!! :0)
Great collage! So many fantastic butterflies, the moth is a Forester in the family Zygaenidae. Looks like the genus Alypia from a quick search, not sure what species. I'll look more later. Have fun!
Good Lord, Carolyn, you just got 23 comments on this incredible composition of pics! I hope you know how blessed you are to be in a place where butterflies are freakin' Everywhere so you could just click away with no effort! Do I sound jealous? Well, uh.....yeah, I'm a little green...thank God green is my favorite color! HA! OUTSTANDING PHOTO SHOW, my friend!
unbelievable!! I never see a single buttlerly (except those boring little white ones, lol). I can't believe you get so many, this is a beautiful collage!!
What a great collage! All very beautiful. You are lucky. We have very few butterflies here in Wisconsin because of the cool weather. I hope they come soon.
Holy moly! We do NOT have this many out. I love how they were all in the browns and browns and blacks....very neat collage. What is the bottom right one again? Not sure by the caption....I love the tiger eyes on those!
