I really wish I had a macro lens! I took this one with my 50mm lens and did major cropping. These are tiny nymphs hatching from white barrel like eggs. I found them underneath a wild grapevine leaf.
I'm not sure what they are. I think they may be stink bug nymphs, but I'm going to check with one of the 365 insect experts Robert @robv.
Thank you for your kind comments on yesterday's dragonfly! :0)
Those are definitely Stink bug eggs and hatchlings, little stinkers that they are. Can be pestiferous attacking some fruits and veggies, at least it isn't the dreaded Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (Halyomorpha halys). They are a problem in many areas east of the Rockies. Neato shot! Have a happy!
Great shot! By the way - save money and get some close up filters which screw on to the front of your normal lens. They are far cheaper and just as good. I've used them for my project.
Yes, that would be so much fun to photograph with a macro lens! Have you ever tried reverse macor. That's what I do, but on some cameras I hear it doesn't work.
I`ve never seen it before Also thanks to Robert for the explanation.
