Carolyn, it is amazing, but I just posted a shot of the moon I took last evening, and as I looked at the surface it is almost an identical pattern. How cool is that? We are both on the East coast I believe, so that must explain that.
@digitalrn I was thinking the same thing. My moon photo looks like this, too (also east coast). Would be interesting to find a shot of the moon from the west coast or Europe or Australia to see the difference.
