Madinat Al Ilam Park

One to fill a gap in my 30 days wild challenge. There's almost always a mosque somewhere in view.
it's good to see that there are gardens or parks like this one now in oman. the former ministry of petroleum, when i used to work there, told me that the banana plants, mango trees and coconut trees were from the old country, as well as some hardy bushes that could survive the heat. but at the time, they were not yet prepared for the rain that comes with vegetation. the sewer system had to be entirely replaced so the streets don't clog up with water. but i am so glad to see this. muscat used to be just hills with dead bushes and goats, white buildings and the spectacular mosques, dry wadis and the highway bridges.

@summerfield Yes, there has been a real effort to put in and maintain green spaces. I can't imagine how many differences there must be today!
