Sistine chapel and last judgment. by cocobella

Sistine chapel and last judgment.

So this is the famous Sistine chapel.
It was the third time I went in (already been in Roma and Vatican twice when I was a teenager) and I remember to have the same feeling : a big Wow! This is absolutely beautiful.
So i'm sure some people are going to say it is forbidden to take pics in Sistine chapel....and they are right...let me explain....
There are 2 rules inside the Sistine Chapel:
-1, silence....I think it's absolutely normal, you are in a sacred place you have to show respect and close your mouth.
-2, no photo....why ? If you don't use flash, where the problem ? The answer has been given to us by our guide : Sony (the big firm...) had financed all the scaffoldings of the chapel's last cleaning and has negotiated that he will have the monopole on all images of the inside...just a question of money. So I decided to brave the prohibition....like hundreds of people inside....it is bad quality, if i want a better image i will buy postcards edited by Sony...

Wow... a wonderful image. Good for you, to stand up and take non-flash photos of an amazing work of art. The colors are so saturated... really beautiful. Enjoy your trip!

It is a funny feeling to recognise iconic parts of these paintings in their bigger context! A stunning piece of architecture.
