Glorious Shumard oak in its final Autumn show of color

This was taken yesterday. Imagine a deciduous oak having so many leaves and such brilliant color in the first week of January. An unusually mild Autumn due to climate change has resulted in this late Fall color here in coastal South Carolina when it finally did turn cold.
So beautiful

I was shocked when I saw this! We have had a very mild winter so far also. I prefer things to stay on schedule.

Surprising for the time of year. I noticed some of my lilies are getting ready to bloom...normally they don’t show until May?
