Two Trees by daffodill

Two Trees

Grey dull day. Felt totally uninspired.
Walking through the woods on the way home I took this picture.
When I looked at it later I was struck by the difference between the two trees, and it reminded me of 1 Corinthians 12, particularly verses 15-18 - so I started seeing how this could apply to a wood....

"Now if the oak should say, “Because I am not a beech, I do not belong to the wood,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the wood. And if the bluebell should say, “Because I am not a wild garlic, I do not belong to the wood,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the wood. 17 If the whole wood were an bluebell, where would the variety of colour be? If the whole body were a wild garlic, where would the difference of scent be? 18 But in fact God has placed the parts in the wood, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be."

We are all different - different talents, different tastes - let's enjoy diversity!

I do like this, it reminds me of the poem, Trees..
