This has been an incredible year for blossom, round here, and the warm weather is bringing an end to the spring flowers.
I had hoped to post a pic of a stunning cherry tree I pass on my way to work,
but it lost out to other pictures on the days I took pictures of it.
Too soon the blossom is over and the leaves appear.
Today when I was passing, this blossom caught my eye,
backlit by the sunshine.
Probably not the final cherry blossom, but one of them!
The seasons move on, but I always feel a slight tinge of sadness,
wishing that each variety could last a little longer,
even though I know that it means that other flowers I love equally well will appear.
For life, may we treasure each moment, and rejoice in what is to come.
Spring is my favourite month and I'm a bit sad that it's coming all in a rush this year (although being rained/blown/frozen away would be worse) - lovely pic with all the veins showing to remember it by though!
