Today the opportunity arose to do a quick church hunt
over the border into Warwickshire.
We visited Oldberrow church, which was open, and Ullenhall, which was not!
Oldberrow is a simple church within a wild meadow church yard
and is always open.

It has an amazing simple beauty.
i took several pictures that I liked,
but this one, featuring the organ stood out.
The hymn book was left open at a page marked 'Evensong'.
It made me think about all the services
that have been held in this church,
all the words spoken and sung here,
times of joy, sadness and the regular rhythm of praise and worship,
month by month,
year by year.
I thought of all who have entered through the doorway,
and sat in these pews
and knelt for prayer & communion.
The small bell cote houses 3 bells
which I believe can be rung, not just chimed.
One of the bell ropes is just visible,
another is tied on to a coat stand.
A place to return to one day.
