There seems to have been a lot of sadness
in the world this last week.
Lots of hearts aching,
many tears shed,
dreams shattered
and lives changed forever.
Life will go on.
Not the same,
but it will continue
and in time
wounds will heal
people will smile
and remember,
with affection
those they loved and lost too soon.
And light will triumph over darkness.
