On Sunday morning we heard the most amazing rendition of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' sung by Sue, a member of of church who had been battling against cancer. That evening she passed away peacefully. Sooner than most of us really expected.
Sue was a quiet, unassuming person who brought sunshine into other people's lives.
She worked with preschool children who were going through assessment and with love and by using her giftings brought out the best in them.
When I looked through my pictures for that day this was the one I wanted to post, as it illustrates the effect that one can have on another, and how by working together we can create something even more beautiful. The blurred effect in the background remind me of the tears that we shed, as we listened to her beautiful voice.
I held back from posting this for a couple of days, so that people would have the chance to hear that Sue was at peace. No longer in pain, but singing her song "Somewhere Over The Rainbow."
